Below is a wrap of the inaugural 2023 Schools Alpine Competition. The weather held out and everyone had a great week! Looking forward to seeing you all again next year for an even bigger and better competition.

Well done to all our teams and athletes today. Thank you for making our inaugural event such a success. We managed to get a couple of awesome days of weather for racing, which really made our week.

Thursday 14/09/2023 – Update

Hi all,

Due to severe high winds Coronet Peak is CLOSED today. We will look to continue the Dual’s & Kombi TOMORROW (Friday).

If you want to ski or ride today, the Remarkables will be opening at 9am. Unfortunately we won’t be able to get the race gear across and setup at the Remarkables, so racing there today won’t be an option.

If you aren’t able to make Friday’s race day, please let either myself (0211759457) or Chris (021444776) know as we will have to rearrange teams.

Wednesday Prizegiving

Prizegiving will commence approx 3.30pm upstairs outside the cafe. Look our for the large SIXT signage. See you soon!

Here is the Info from The Coronet Peak Staff Running this event:

7.15 – Any people wishing to assist please see Sam or Chris.
7:30 – Race admin & Guest Services open for all athlete and volunteer needs and Questions. (Look for the SAC flag to be displayed)
9:00 – Chairs load to access T-Bar Area
9:15-9:45 – Run 1 Inspection
10:00 – Run 1 Start
11:45-12:15 – Run 2 Inspection
12:30 – Run 2 Start

Prize Giving will start approximately 1hr after closing of the protest period. Base Building Patio.
